Ready to Design the Adventure?

That is what it is really all about, isn’t it? So often life is something that happens to us, and our actions are really only re-actions. What if we started to consciously create what we want our lives to look like? To be our own orchestra leaders…
Well, for starters, we would need to set some goals. This can truly be the most difficult part. This is admitting that we want more, which can bring up the success / failure issues, (how amazing that the success is normally the larger fear). Also, we are forced out of the role of continuing to do the same thing, expecting different results. Logically, this makes perfect sense, and yet we are all guilty by default. This is the result of living on auto-pilot.
“Design the Adventure!” means turning off the cruise control. Actually checking in on all of the areas of our lives to see what is working and what is not. Looking through “fresh eyes” while actually choosing a direction and pulling out of the parking lot.
Give yourself permission to speak freely, verbalizing what you actually want. Your body will love you for it! Decisions can be scary, and many have difficulty making them. Take the pressure off, the beauty is if you do not like it, then you can always make another. When you are stuck, always look for the decision you are not making. (You may want to read that last line again). Remember, you always have more then three options!
“Designing the Adventure!” is one of my favorite ways to help people, to find where those dreams are kept, unlock them and begin creating a map of how to get there.
